Social Media Committee

The Social Media Committee creates content for the Texas PRSSA website and social media accounts. Joining this committee will give you valuable experience in content development and look great on your resume! You can also send any written content to PRSSA National, where your pieces may be featured in national PRSSA publications distributed to over 12,000 PRSSA members and professionals across the country.

Blogging

Blogging for our website is a great way to improve your writing skills and build your portfolio. Committee members are expected to contribute at least 1-2 blog posts per semester, although we encourage you to write more. A professional, well-written blog post can be used as a writing sample to show to a potential employer!

Twitter & Instagram

Gain experience in live event coverage by tweeting during meetings and other Texas PRSSA events. You will also have opportunities to take photos and draft copy for our Instagram account.

Social media committee applications will reopen in the fall. Email Alexa Gonzaga, Vice President of Public Relations, if you have any questions.
