National Conference 2016: Notable Speakers

Every National Conference is host to an impressive lineup of speakers, and this year is no different! Here are just a few who will take part in this year’s event:

 

Allison Melangton, senior vice president at Hulman Motosports Corporation, will deliver the keynote address on Saturday, Oct. 22. Melangton currently oversees overall production of major events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, including the Indy 500. Previously, she spent four years as the CEO and president of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee and worked at eight Olympic Games, the last five as an Associate Producer for the NBC Sports gymnastics broadcast. She has won five Emmys for her work.

 

 

Bridget Coffing, chief communications officer emeritus at McDonald’s Corporation, will be a panelist at Sunday’s keynote: Meet the Living Legends of Public Relations. Coffing spent 30 years at McDonald’s and most recently served as senior vice president of corporate relations. Her communications career has spanned over 35 years, and she is currently a member of the Board of Advisors of the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations, the Arthur Page Society and The Seminar; a Board member of the Public Relations Society of America, Chicago chapter; and the Board of Visitors of the University of Wisconsin School of Human Ecology.

 

Lauren Berger, also known as the Intern Queen, will speak at a special session on Sunday. While in college, Berger completed a total of 15 internships. Less than three years after graduating, Berger founded Intern Queen Inc. to provide future grads with the resources she didn’t have. Berger also serves as CEO of Intern Queen and is the author of two books.
