As the sun sets for summer internships and students return to campus, UT PRSSA updated their online presence with a redesigned website. The new homepage provides direct access to information and serves as a virtual introduction to the Dr. Alan Scott Chapter. People are directed to the group’s history, the Leadership Team profiles, upcoming events and contact forms right from the homepage.
“We wanted to find the most efficient ways of bringing relevant information to all of our audiences,” said Hugo Rojo, webmaster for UT PRSSA. “Our members shouldn’t go on a scavenger hunt to download agendas or find out about dates. The new site reflects our commitment to transparency and efficiency.”
The site is synched with the chapter’s Twitter feed and allows for entries to be liked and shared across multiple platforms. Members can subscribe to a Google calendar and receive alerts of upcoming events. The site also features a dedicated tab for professional development that houses content curated for the benefit of members.
Through contact forms and email listings it is now easier to connect with the Leadership Team and ensure members have their questions or concerns addressed.
“This website instills collaboration within the Leadership Team,” said Rojo. “Each of one us has a piece of the puzzle that makes this website fully functional and an accurate representation of who we are as an organization.”
